A piece of history...
Archambault de Combauld, Count of Auteuil (1829-1865, died when he was 35), made rebuild the Chateau d’Auteuil with bricks and stones in the style Louis 13th.
He put the furniture of the former castle in the new one: tapestries of the 17th Century, paintings of hunting and portraits of ancestors. Today, you can still see four paintings of hunting (painted by the Count Albert de Balleroy) in the aim living room. The “Archambault de Combauld” Suite is a really enlightening and spacious room.
